Actively embedded in Hard Rock Hotel operations, RMD Group’s amped-up performance resonates throughout the property.
Hard Rock Hotel knew a remodel would boost their bar and lounge revenue but they lacked a viable direction. They asked RMD Group to assess the situation before any moves were made.
We dove into the data, researching market and property performance to date. Unearthing some accounting opportunities in our discovery process, we reported back to the team what the data was (and wasn’t) saying.
Hard Rock Hotel selected RMD to execute the remodel of Float and 207, the hotel’s two bar and lounge spaces. They also asked us to take on day-to-day operation of the spaces during the process.
“Since RMD’s very first changes were implemented, the numbers have been phenomenal. Even more, there’s a halo effect to what they achieved with the dining and events. A wave that lifts the whole property. People book rooms and conferences because of our restaurants.”
- Matt Greene - Director of Food and Beverage, Hard Rock Hotel
How it worked
RMD Group stepped into a fully embedded role at the Hard Rock:
Hiring a designer and architect to begin the remodel
Running daily operations onsite
Owning and executing the budget plan
Overseeing the management team, who reported directly to RMD Group
Serving on the executive committee of the hotel
Along with these improvements, RMD Group launched new events such as a weekly rooftop pool party and various “one-off” events that leveraged the outdoor pool space. Existing signature events were expanded, notably the full-hotel endeavors on Halloween and New Year’s Eve which became multi-million dollar revenue streams.
Time for an encore
Hard Rock continues to engage RMD Group on major initiatives, remodels, and ongoing promotions. In addition to our data-driven insights, we draw on years of hands-on experience from our daily presence at large venues, and provide the kind of guidance Hard Rock needs to move forward confidently.
